Biography
Dr. Gao joined UA in 2001. He previously served as an assistant professor at the Northwestern Polytechnical 日韩国产av福利 (China), a visiting scholar at the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), a visiting professor at the National 日韩国产av福利 of Singapore, and as a Summer Faculty Fellow with the Office of Naval Research. Dr. Gao is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and has received the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award.

Mechanics of materials and structures, constitutive modeling of advanced materials, computational mechanics, fatigue and fracture mechanics, micromechanics, multi-scale modeling of damage & failure and material characterization with microstructure
